The artist and author Miriam Bornewasser, a graduate of the Düsseldorf Art Academy, takes the emergence, necessity and potential of residual space in cities as a starting point to examine how KIT uses (residual) space. Her question: How is  the KIT still characterized by its origins after almost 20 years as an institution? Is it merely the particular form of the exhibition space or does it go beyond that? Miriam Bornewasser will also examine the KIT archive and make it partially visible in the space.
