Juliette Magnevasoa creates a quiet pull on stage that is almost impossible to resist. Her voice and a guitar – that is all this exceptional artist, who hails from Madagascar and grew up in France after being adopted as a child, needs to captivate her audience. Juliette Magnevasoa blends chanson and folk into songs of touching intimacy. She sings of her two homelands, of origins, of setting out on a new journey and the subtle nuances in between, thereby opening up a view of a wider world. She has been performing on stages across France for almost ten years and has since built up a large fan base. Every morning without fail, Juliette Magnevasoa sings for two and a half hours, accompanying herself on the guitar. It is her daily routine, which enables her to work on her guitar technique, her voice and her expression. At the end of each session, she shares an excerpt from a song close to her heart – usually a cover – which she posts on Instagram. Her version of »Les gens qui doutent« by Anne Sylvestre has now been viewed 1.8 million times. Juliette Magnevasoa is a winner of the Metronum Woman Academy 2026 in Toulouse, a prestigious initiative supporting creative women and inclusion in culture.
