Are people constantly asking you what you want to do after school? Maybe you don’t have an answer, but you’re interested in art?
Starting in June 2019, you can find out whether performance, dance, painting, photography, video, film, sculpture, graphic design, book art, or public relations and communications in the cultural sector might be fields you would like to work in. At KIT, the Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf, and the Tanzhaus NRW, we’ll get to the bottom of many burning questions in groups along with artists and others who work in the cultural sector in Düsseldorf and the region.

Sculpture
Organizer: Jovita Majewski
Together we’ll explore the KIT exhibition space and its surroundings. On the banks of the Rhine, for example, we’ll look for materials that could contain fascinating insights about the place and use them to create unique sculptures.

Photography
Organizer: Pitt Wenninger
Together we’ll test the limits and possibilities of photography and try out different methods of photo presentation.

Performance
Organizers: Karen Zimmermann, Sophia Seiss
In cooperation with tanzhaus nrw, we’ll collaboratively develop a performance piece that will be performed on 19 and 20 October.

Video/film
Organizers: Nils Kemmerling, Christina Karababa
In cooperation with the Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf, we’ll have the opportunity to develop our own film projects. Participants will be able to present their projects in live projections, among other things.

Press and education
Organizers: Frauke Maria Petry, Judith Eilers
This group is responsible for public relations and the final presentation, with contributions by staff members of the three institutions. Participants will write of press releases, conduct live reporting during a compact project phase, and develop an education concept, which will be carried out during the final presentation.
